Our Story
A short, spindly woman lovingly poured her newly brewed, home-made tea from a rustic teapot as she sat in her wooden chair at the kitchen table. The aroma soothed her senses, and she took pride in that the warm tea which she was about to savor had been blended from the fresh cut plantings she grew in her own garden. The unique recipe creating a savory mixture of fruit and herbs was handed down to her from her Asian ancestors. This flavor, as well as many other blends, gave her a warmth far exceeding the tepidness of the tea itself. She never expected that her tea brewing would become her legacy.
Her passion extended into a livelihood for her children and their children. The aromatic and healthy quality of the teas were greatly desired by all those around her and her family. The demand for more soon turned into a small business that grew exponentially and eventually became lovingly known as Nana’s Tea.
The care in selecting the perfect ingredients and ensuring the quality always matched Nana’s high standards has been paramount in the development of all of our tea blends. And the variety has grown from processing ingredients from domestic gardens to seeking out exotic leaves from around the globe.
